The Bible tells us that the truth will set us free John and that we must worship God in truth John God is in the process of saving mankind and everyone has their own timing.
Please after reading the piece , l did not get to know where the two thieves went after their death. I will be grateful if you will help me with the information.
Like Like. The two thieves went to their graves like any other people who died. They are waiting for their resurrection when God will give them a chance to learn the truth. This world is deceived by satan. You mean a person who died that did not know the truth will be resurrected and will still have a chance to know the truth and accept Jesus Christ and will be saved? Please specify which book or what chapter or verse this is written. My son ask me if there are white people in the bible.
I would think not due to where the Prophets Lived. Can you help me? However, I would say there are white people in the Bible. I would be interested in hearing what others would say. Always remember that God is not bounded by time. Also when the thief died on that day, the next time he opens his eyes is when Jesus returns and he will be in paradise on that same day. True, God is not bounded by time.
However, He follows a timetable. He has the plan of salvation already in place. You are commenting using your WordPress. You are commenting using your Google account. Here is what the Bible does say about the two thieves:. Even the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him with the same thing " Matthew , So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "And He was numbered with the transgressors.
And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.
And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong. What About the Thief on the Cross? One of the thieves, after joining with the other thief in mocking the Lord Mark , recognized that Jesus was the Son of God and decided to ask for mercy and pardon.
Is Jesus promising that the repentant criminal would be with Him that day in paradise? It would appear so on the surface, but let's take a deeper look. Additionally, John states that the religious leaders asked for the thieves legs' to be broken and taken down from their crosses. They didn't want the thieves to hang on the crosses over the Sabbath. We can see that Jesus could not have been with the thief in heavenly paradise that Friday if He had still not ascended to the Father on Sunday.
Is this a contradiction? It would seem to be so on the surface. But what if the comma was after the word today instead of before it? The meaning would change completely. If the comma is placed after the word today , it shows Jesus being emphatic on that day of his crucifixion, saying, today when I am dying on the cross with no apparent hope, I am promising that you will be with me in paradise eventually.
However, if the comma is inserted before the word today , Jesus would then be promising that the thief would be with Him that very day in paradise; thus making Jesus a liar and also contradicting John It makes a big difference where the comma is placed.
There is a story of a wealthy man whose wife sent him a telegram asking if she could buy a very expensive item. He sent the reply, "No, price too high. When the wife received the message, "No price too high," she happily went and bought the expensive item. This story illustrates the importance of correct punctuation. If the punctuation is off by even one word it can mean something entirely different.
As we compare scriptures one with another we will find apparent contradictions, but if we look carefully at the clearest texts and the overwhelming evidence in the scriptures on a certain subject, we will find the truth see Isaiah
